BECFM – The testing phase ends!

The pilot phase of the project “Building Entrepreneurial Capacity for Migrants Through Online Learning – BECFM” (Project number 2019-1-TR01-KA204-077633) has taken place in Palermo, in the Giocherenda shop, from September 19th to the 23rd. Many young people, hosted at Centro Asante and coming from different parts of the world, had the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, sustainability, and business idea development by testing the learning platform on the project website.

The main objectives of the platform are to provide online training to migrants and refugees, leading to better employment opportunities and living conditions. The project’s consortium would like to train the migrants and refuges in order to develop the knowledge, skills and capacities in relation with the needs of target groups for their integration in the hosted labour market.

Migrants face many challenges establishing and managing entrepreneurship in their host countries, such us the lack of understanding of local labour markets or the difficulties accessing local business networks. To overcome these identified challenges, the online training sessions are given to migrants and refuges who wants to open a new business or find a Job.

All the participants showed their enthusiasm in joining the pilot event and successfully passed a final evaluation about the project’s topics. This event was very important to spread the results of the project and to make everyone aware of the importance of entrepreneurship subjects for migrants.
