In celebration of Earth Day, on April 20th, CEIPES, in collaboration with several Sicilian associations, organized a wonderful event at the Sea Ecomuseum of Palermo. At this inaugural event, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the AGISEC project, which aims to promote the benefits of sports for health, introduce new sports, foster environmental awareness, and enhance understanding of European values and structures.
This project, focused on promoting the benefits of sports for health and environmental consciousness, made its debut with a day full of integrative activities under the theme “Integrating Sports, Health, and Sustainability.” Attendees immersed themselves in a unique experience, participating in volleyball games, self-defense classes, and more.
More than just a celebration, this event served as a platform to introduce activities that will take place throughout the AGISEC project cycle, to boost environmental awareness, and to strengthen understanding of European values.
With a total of nine events planned in different locations, the AGISEC project is intended to leave a lasting impact on participating communities. Each activity is a step forward in building a society more committed to caring for our planet, promoting the well-being of its inhabitants, and advocating for sports.
