The “DISENEX-Disability and entrepreneurship” (project number 2020-1-DE02-KA204-007739) project is going to finish on 31 March 2023, but before, it was time to meet again for the last time. That’s what the Consortium did in Izmir (Turkey) on 15 and 16 March 2023.

CEIPES and partners from Germany, Norway and of course Turkey had the chance to discuss about the last steps of the project and of the sustainability of its deliverables. Besides, they had the opportunity to spent time together for the last time in the framework of the project, as end of this path started together in 2020.

Overall, on 16 March it was organized the final conference to present the project, its activities, objectives and results, thanks to the work of all partners and especially of the Turkish ones, belonging to Izmir Valiligi. The participants were composed of politicians, member of governments, people with disabilities, the entrepreneurs part of the project and members of associations working with people with disabilities. One of them is the director of the orchestra and choir of autistic people in Izmir, which gave everyone the opportunity to assist to their performance.

As mentioned above, during the conference the consortium presented the project and the results, which are the methodology, the mini-serie, the learning courses and the DISENEX portal. CEIPES specifically presented the learning courses and the web portal. Besides, every partner talked of the stories of entrepreneurs chosen as best practice in each country. The Turkish ones were present to the conference and showed everyone examples of perseverance, motivation, hard work and resistance. Their speeches reminded how can be complicated the social inclusion in case of disability and how everyone should keep staying active in the field.

The conference had a great success. Politicians and the public in general participated in an active way, making questions, giving feedback and sharing contacts with the partners.
