On the 24th and 25th of November the 4th Transnational Project Meeting of Brave New Words project took place in Szczecin, Poland. This time we were hosted by Collegium Balticum, the coordinator of the project.
BRAVE NEW WORDS: “Innovative educational tools for training and teaching people with Special Learning Disorders project is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme, KA2 – Strategic Partnerships for adult education and it involves 4 partners from different countries: Italy, Spain, Bulgarian and Poland.
The project aimed to create innovative learning pathways that increase the quality of the work of educators and staff members dealing with People with Special Learning Disorders (SpLD), using 3D Printing and Augmeted Reality.
During the first day on the 24th, the meeting started with the presentation of each national pilot phase, performed in the past few months.
The pilot was performed with the scope of testing the 11 exercises created with 3D printing and the 11 exercises realised thanks to the use of the Augmented Reality technology. All the participants of the pilots performed in Italy, Spain and Bulgaria were very happy, giving excellent feedback on the methodology developed by the consortium and on the excellent work done in the exercises.
Afterwards, Collegium Balticum presented last Intellectual Output of the project, “IO4 – Webinar about BRAVE NEW WORDS” results and goals.
Indeed, in the next few weeks CB will be engaged with the help of the whole consortium in the development of a new methodology. This document will be important for partners that will develop the activities of the IO4.
The IO4 consist in the particular in 3 different webinar that will have different topics.
Each webinar will take into account the objectives and the results reached in the two years of the project through the activities, methodology and tools developed to help people with SpLD in the learning phase.
CEIPES organise a webinar in which it will show the 3D printing technology phase. At the same time SKILLS DIVERS will do the same action but with Augmented Reality technology.
PARVI, the Bulgarian partner and experts in specific learning disorders, will have the task of making people understand how to use technologies with those who need specific support in the learning phase.
All partners will use their social media to spread the invitation to participate in the webinar in their respective countries.
The second day of the TPM of the BRAVE NEW WORDS project has been spent with a visit to the SENSE centre. In particular it is a specialized centre for children with specific neurological disorders.
Partners had the opportunity to visit the entire facility, consisting of the kindergarten, primary school, and the facility where the children perform various therapies with highly qualified staff members.
All the partners have shown their interest to be able to bring an example of this value to their country with excellent results.
The fourth TPM in Poland ended with a visit to the Szczecin Nation Museum on the second post-war period.
The partners broke up with the next transnational meeting which will take place in March 2022.
