The Kick Off Meeting (KOM) of the new Erasmus+ project “Work in progress: more inclusive working environment for people with mental disabilities” (KA2 Strategic Partnership for vocational education and training) took place on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th December. CEIPES, has partner of the project has participated with two of its project managers: Fulvio Grassadonio and Serena Butticè.

The meeting was hosted in Cracow (Poland) by the polish coordinator “Multikultura”, which works on multicultural education and art with application of new technologies. Beside them, the other partners of the project, participating to the meeting were:

IDEC from Peiraias (Grecia); MBM from Bristol (UK).

The main aim of “Work in progress” is to increase the level of social inclusion in the work environment, for people with mental disabilities, improving the relationship with them. For reaching these goals the project will develop training materials and paths, for employees and human resources managers (target group of the project).

The project outcomes include also the creation of and online app to support a more interactive acquirement of knowledge for the main target group.

The KOM was the opportunity to get to know all the consortium members and to build the team for a smooth and trustworthy implementation of the project.
The two days were articulated according to a clear agenda that was respected in every part.

After the personal introductions and the presentation of each organization, the overall project was presented and the administrative and budgetary parts were revised. We passed than to the analysis of every intellectual output. The Consortium finally agreed on the next partners ‘meeting in Palermo on May 2019.
