Finally, here we go: the consortium of the ‘Third Stage‘ project, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, is pleased to announce the launch of the Open Festival, the first virtual theatre festival that will allow spectators to enjoy theatre performances from the comfort of their sofa at home!
Open Stage will take place from 15th to 21st of April, but is already having a huge success: in fact, many European theatres have decided to join the initiative proposed by Third Stage and have shared some of their live performances on demand with the rest of the world. Viewers will be able to access a lot of content and unreleased performances from Slovenian, Italian, Bulgarian and Hungarian theatres, and many more are coming soon!
The consortium, composed of partners from Slovenia, Spain and Italy, has been working for about two years on the platform that will host the Open Stage festival and has worked hard to ensure a high level of quality of audio-visual content on the platform, getting in touch with many artistic realities across Europe. The aim of the project is to offer the public, but especially theatre professionals, a network to foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge between enthusiasts from all over Europe, in a simple and accessible way.
