SPORT4E – Advancing Skills through Sport in Budapest

On April 11th and 12th, 2024, partners of the “Sport4E – Skills through Sport for Employability and Entrepreneurship” project convened in Budapest. This Erasmus+ project aims to advance education and skill development through sports, leveraging engaging open educational resources to cultivate soft and transversal skills applicable to professional contexts, thus bolstering individuals’ employability and entrepreneurial capabilities.

In relation to Work Package 3 “Training Program and Methodology Guide of Career Development” led by CEIPES, partners finalized the creation of an e-learning training course available on CEIPES’s e-learning platform .

This course, packaged as open educational resources, is dedicated to coaches and sports instructors. Sport4e partners focused on reviewing course content, translations, and the online structure, ensuring the course’s effectiveness and accessibility.

A significant agenda item involved planning the creation of a Methodological Guide for Career Development, aimed at guiding young athletes in setting realistic goals for their future and navigating the labor market. Partners explored strategies for developing this guide and outlined next steps for its completion. Additionally, partners analysed dissemination efforts, providing updates on work carried out and exploring potential avenues for scientific publications to amplify the project’s impact.

The Budapest meeting was characterized by productive collaboration, insightful discussions, and a shared commitment to advancing the Sport4E project’s goals. Participants departed with a renewed enthusiasm for the project and a deeper appreciation for Budapest’s charm.
