On the 5th and 6th of September 2023, CEIPES hosted in Palermo the 2nd Transnational Meeting of the ERASMUS Plus Sport S.N.A.T.C.H. project. This ambitious initiative aims to empower children and youth with the knowledge and habits necessary for maintaining physical and cognitive health from an early age.
The backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the urgency of this project, as it seeks to address the lifestyle changes that have impacted young people. The primary objective is to ensure a high quality of life and psychophysical well-being through an integrated approach that combines physical activity and a balanced diet. Simultaneously, the project promotes digital skills and contributes to reducing the environmental footprint by advocating for the use of organic and locally sourced foods.
One of the highlights of the two days meeting was the presentation of the developed deliverables by each lead partner: the project’s web platform, its content and educational materials. Furthermore, the meeting featured a detailed presentation of upcoming tasks and deadlines, with a special focus on organizing the pilot education program. This program aims to train coaches and sports workers, equipping them with knowledge and tools necessary to implement the project’s principles in their work.
Dissemination activities were also on the agenda, underscoring the importance of spreading the project’s message far and wide.
The meeting was also an opportunity to solidify the partnerships at its core. It served as a platform to plan the next steps and ensure the smooth progress of the project towards its goals.
