R.I.S.To.VET – The second-last Transnational Project Meeting has been held

On the end of March 2022, the consortium of R.I.S.To.VET – Rural Innovative Sustainable Tourism for VET, project number 2019-1-PL01-KA202-065682, has met.

The second-last and fourth Transnational Project Meeting has been hosted by ViaVia Tourism Academy in Mechelen (Belgium). It has been an hybrid meeting, involving partners both face-to-face and virtually: WSBINOZ – WYZSZA SZKOLA BIZNESU I NAUK O ZDROWIU (Poland), VVTA – Living Stone Dialoog, ViaVia Tourism Academy (Belgium), ILI – FRIEDRICH-ALEXANDER-UNIVERSITAET ERLANGEN NUERNBERG (Germany), Co.Net – COWORKING E NETWORKING SICILIA APS (Italy), Ergasia Ekpaideftiki Anonymi Etaria (Greece) and CEIPES – International Centre for the Promotion of Education and Development (Italy) met after four months from the previous meeting. This has been an opportunity for partners to discuss about the project implementation progress and to define the next – and last – steps to reach the fixed objectives.

The project aims to improve the quality of VET education on the field of tourism, providing an overview on rural and sustainable tourism and on its contemporary challenges. In order to reach these objectives the consortium is implementing:

  • A general analysis report offering complete information on European reccomendations on touristic policies, a SME touristic sector need analysis and an overview on VET providers in the touristic sector;
  • A training path comprising all the topics addressed by the project, such as digital tourism, authenticity, experiential tourism, etc. including also sections on the development of soft skills, which are helpful to deal with tourists but also in everyday life;
  • An e-learning platform;
  • A webinars cycle.

During the meeting partners discussed about the finalisation of the learning pathway on the topics addressed by R.I.S.To.VET, which is going to be delivered very soon: this resource will also be downloadable through the project website. Also, this has been the occasion to present the newborn e-learning platform, which will help VET students and interested operators gain knowledge on the contemporary tourism challenges. Furthermore, a pilot phase will be arranged to test the results of the project and to prove the effectiveness of the learning pathway.

Partners have also set a starting date for webinars, which are the last step of the project implementation. On the 26th of April 2022 at 4 p.m. a Webinar Zero will be held, to inform the target groups from all over Europe about the R.I.S.To.VET activities and learning opportunities.

The last Transnational Project Meeting will be held in middle June 2022 in Poland, hosted by WSBINOZ – WYZSZA SZKOLA BIZNESU I NAUK O ZDROWIU.
