PADIGE – Second Testing Phase Concluded

On the 21st, 23rd and 27th of March, CEIPESconcluded the second testing phase of the project PADIGE- Participatory Design of Initiative on Gender Equality.

The objective of the project is to raise awareness about the European Citizens Initiative as an instrument of European direct democracy and about the importance of Gender Equality. In order to do so, the consortium developed the second intellectual output, Guide for Youth Workers- an online course to learn the participatory design method, how to make an ECI proposal and about gender issues.

The course was tested with a group of 20 youth and a group of 20 youth workers.

In particular, the youths from the association San Giovanni Apostolo followed the course modules and had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with the facilitators. The meetings were recorded and uploaded onto the course so that they could be useful to other young people approaching the course. At the end of the meeting, they filled in the evaluation questionnaire in order to give their impressions and feedback so that the consortium can adjust the intellectual output according to their suggestions.

On the other hand, youth workers from the Association Unione Degli studenti Universitari tested the online course to give feedback about its contents and usefulness within their work.

Youth workers also filled in the evaluation questionnaire providing suggestions and improvements and evaluating both the course and the teaching guidelines.
