On the 11th April 2024, CEIPES held the first encounter of the My Sweet Smart Home project’s pilot phase, with the aim of testing the introductory course of the e-learning platform.
The meeting place was the ENS – National Body of the Deaf in Palermo with the participation of around 20 people with hearing impairments, family members and members of the ENS council.
The encounter has started with an ice-breaking activity, in which participants had to cooperate in group to find out what some presented technologies were, how they work and for what type of disability could be useful. The presentation of the My Sweet Smart Home project and the explanation of the pilot phase were the next discussed points.
The participants seemed very interested and eager to start testing the project’s e-learning platform, and so discover the different smart home technologies that can be useful in their daily lifes. The second encounter will be held in May and the participants will give their feedback about the first course and will be introduced to the second phase of the pilot test: the installation and use course.
