Partners meet in Palermo to work together on making breaks learning spaces

These latter are related to the realization of an interactive handbook, through which promote inclusion and social skills development among students, exploiting the school breaks.

In fact, it has been demonstrated how recess allows emotional, physical and cognitive benefits. These have been analyzed during the first step of the project in a investigation, which will be included in the handbook. Besides, it will contain 30 workshops to implement with kids during the breaks, in order to test this new non formal methodology. The Consortium will also realize video tutorial to show how carry out the activities. These audio-visual resources will be fully accessible, comprehensive of subtitles, audio and self-description.

The Consortium is composed of persons with a background in education and psychology. In fact, among them there are schools from Italy and Romania, as well as organizations implementing activities aimed to inclusion, well-being and empowerment. Their perspective allow to reach the quality of the project results in the best possible way. In fact, during the meeting they had the chance to discuss about the testing phase of the methodology and to confront each other, basing also on various aspects of the implemented activities, such as timing, spaces and issues encountered by facilitators. This exchange has been very important to keep working on the project results and on the workshop test.
