On the 9th and 10th of March, the EUHRENET consortium launched a transnational meeting of the project EUHRENET- European Human Network of Towns (project number: 101054251) in Rychnov nad Kněžnou, Czech Republic.
The third event was based on how to foster a human rights approach to gender equality and women empowerment in good local governance, hosted by the Czech partner SPLAV.
The conference discussed the Implementation of the Gender Equality Strategy for 2021-30 from the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and how gender inequality affects local life.
Furthermore, the coordinator of the project the municipality of Torres Novas presented their Local Strategy for Equality and Non-Discrimination 2023-2026. In addition, the association League of Open Men was invited to speak about men and gender inequality in the Czech Republic to underline that men can be allies to fight gender inequality.
On the second day, the partners discussed held a round table to discuss the content from the previous day and the next steps of the projects. In addition, the Consortium moved to Prague to visit the social enterprise Czechitas- an award-winning Czech-based social impact organization that inspires, trains, and guides new talents towards stronger diversity and competitiveness in Tech.
