ETN4VET

On the 8th and 10th of November 2022 the consortium of the ETN4VET – European e-Transport Network for Vocational Education and Training project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (Key Action 2 – Cooperation partnership in vocational education and training), project number (2021-1-NL01-KA220-VET-000025512), organised the first online learning and networking event of a longer series of this kind of events that will go on during the next year.

27 participants enjoyed these two days of appointment to know better the electric vehicles sector and the best methodologies in the related Vocational Education and Training. The programme of these two first appointments has been full of opportunities to know and participate in networking activities with different organisations working in this field, coming from other European countries.

The programme of the 8th of November was divided into a first opening welcome with a session of sharing new or interesting e-Transport developments. Afterwards, Max Michael from the Swedish Uppsala Yrkes Gymnasium, and Keijo Sipinen from the Nyköping Gymnasium from the Swedish city of Nykoping, have presented their teaching materials and methodologies using video instructions with regard to electrical vehicles and e-Transport. A final session of Q&A and networking has been done.

The programme of the second day, instead, after a first similar news activity, moved to a discussion in groups. Then, Ave Paaskivi presented her school Kuressare Ametikool from Estonia, and Margus Kivi introduced the e-Transport vehicle situation in Estonia.

A nice presentation about self-driving buses has been done by the company Auve Tech, which develops these kinds of products. A final presentation about the Formula Student (FS) project by TTK University of Applied Sciences on the building of their racing vehicle to participate to the international competition Formula Student.

All participants had different moments to get to know each other, exchange information, and make networking activities. Each participant has been introduced to our networking group on teams called “ENT4VET Friends” in order to maintain contacts and share news.

During 2023, we will propose new similar experiences to participate in online learning and networking events within the ETN4VET project. We will continue to present the best EV education practices, contents and methodologies. If you decide to participate in the next editions, you will be able to participate in this inspiring European VET teachers’ network and contact each other for further exchange and/or cooperation.
