D.o.D. – A new ally in the fight against fake news

Important news from the consortium of the ‘D.o.D. – Democracy over Disinformation‘ project, co-funded by the European Union’s CERV (Citizens, Equals, Rights and Values) programme: the project’s methodological tool, an important ally in the fight against fake news and disinformation, has been finalised.

What does it consist of? The tool is an extremely important resource, the purpose of which is to provide theoretical expertise on the world of fake news. But that’s not all: the tool will also allow all citizens of European countries to test their knowledge and skills through interactive quizzes and a simple and extremely intuitive layout.

The consortium worked hard and created the methodical tool also thanks to the support and suggestions of the citizens who participated during the project’s three international conferences in Kaunas (Lithuania), Palermo (Italy), Berlin and Potsdam (Germany), respectively. The tool was also presented, at an almost finalised stage, during the project’s final conference, which was held online on 6 February 2024.

The tool is an important resource and will serve to further the project’s main objective: to combat media misinformation by stimulating democratic debate and literacy. The tool is available on the e-learning platform of CEIPES ETS (Italian partner of the project) and is available in 4 languages: English, Lithuanian, German and Italian.

But the news does not end here: the project is in its final phase, but there is still a lot of news to come. The link to the tool is here
