The 16th and the 17th of January 2020 in Timisoara, Romania, CEIPES attended the Kick-off Meeting for the project CCJ4Career – European Career Counselling Guidelines for Staff Working in criminal Correctional Justice System funded by Erasmus Plus Program – KA3 about Support for Policy Reform.

The main aims of the project are to test and set in place a working methodology for starting or improving the career guidance process in the Criminal Correctional Justice (CCJ), focusing on the competencies needed by the staff to manage their own careers. This will be done with direct end user involvement (prison staff), employers (prison administrators), workplace (prison) further training (companies and NGOs). As KA3 project, the other important aim is to put on the European public agenda the need of a structured and guided approach to career management in prison system, reaching the policy dialogue with decision makers, and this will be done with the direct involvement of prison administrators, trade union and international professional bodies.

During the meeting the partners had the opportunity to better know each other, introducing their own organization/institution, activities and mission.

The project consists of 6 Work packages each one leaded by a different partner of the consortium and during the two days meeting they presented their idea to implement each activity, carrying out small groups activities to discuss and put together ideas to develop the project in a shared way.

After that the partners discussed about next meetings and training activities of the project and agreed about the dates in which they will take places until the end of the project. The next training activity will take place in Brema (Germany) from the 16th to the 18th September 2020.
