Launched in the spring of 2022, the consortium of partners from Greece, Italy, Turkey, Romania, and Lithuania immediately approached the project implementation with professionalism and enthusiasm.
The first outcome of the STEAM & Digital Skills project was the “Guidebook,” a manual for elementary school teachers interested in adopting a different educational approach through STEAM. Building on this, the consortium developed an e-learning platform where teachers can train through informational modules on various subjects and the know-how methodology that defines the STEAM educational approach.
In the summer of 2023, teacher training sessions focused on digital skills and the use of the e-learning platform were conducted. This event was crucial for facilitating an educational exchange among teachers from different European countries, allowing them to acquire new skills and teaching strategies. Finally, in the early months of 2024, the consortium collaborated with local teachers to develop over ninety STEAM scenarios.
The STEAM scenarios aim to make the interdisciplinary educational approach accessible, with more than fifteen scenarios developed for each subject, covering many topics from elementary and high school curricula.
To ensure the high quality of all project products, the consortium tested them with students and teachers in classroom settings. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants, especially teachers, appreciating the completely accessible and user-friendly tool.
The project team concluded the project activities in May, celebrating the significant impact of the produced materials and aiming to positively influence many individuals in innovative ways.
