SMART – Consortium met in the historical city of Çanakkale (Türkiye)

In the last days of March, the consortium partners of the smARt project gathered in the fantastic setting of the small town of Çanakkale, Türkiye, near the ruins of ancient Troy.

Hosted by the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU), partners from Lithuania, Italy, Romania, Latvia, Ireland and, of course, Turkey gathered.

During this meeting, work continued the development of Augmented Reality (AR) exercises that will be used directly by the children during sessions in classes in the next phase.

The aim of the project is in fact to use augmented reality technology to bring young people closer to the study of STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Therefore, for each of these subjects, two topics were chosen from among those considered most interesting and, at the same time, challenging by pupils and teachers.

Similarly, five exercises were developed for each identified topic, making a total of 40, 10 for each subject. The partners are therefore finalising the design of these exercises, which will soon be made available on the project platform and ready for use, translated in partner’s languages.

Big developments are underway and important news is on the way!
