Objectives

The project aims:

  • To build capacities for youth workers dealing with children and teenagers at risk of exclusion, with a focus on migrant, refugees, and asylum seekers. 
  • To achieve this by using tools and techniques inspired from dance and art therapy approaches to improve the emotional well-being of young people.  
  • Facilitate the inclusion of these groups. 
Activities

The project will engage in the following activities:

  • Design, test and implement a training for youth workers to equip them with knowledge and practice of some art and dance tools and techniques to be used with their publics to foster their well-being. 
  • Sharing training handbook and didactic videos in EN/FR/IT/GR as well as other learning resources will be shared online.
  • Establishing a community of practice will be created to promote exchanges between art/dance therapists and youth professionals.
Results

The project has yielded the following results:

  • Review and collection of art/dance therapy methodologies to support for social inclusion of migrant youth.
  • Implementation of mutual learning and training activities for staff of the partner organisations.
  • Testing of the training programme with a sample of youth workers and young migrants from before sharing it online.
  • Sharing the training via digital tools: a multilingual comprehensive digital handbook, didactic videos and other learning resources.
