The innovative app to manage the token economy strategy

The Consortium of the KA2 “Positive parenting: an autism parent training to address children problem behaviour and teach them socially important skills” project (2020-1-RO01-KA204-079951), belonging to the Erasmus+ programme, met one of its goals: the P+ app development.

This app is an interactive and innovative tool developed by INERCIA DIGITAL SL from Spain, with the support of all the partnership: CEIPES (Italy), STANDO (Cyprus), SC PSIHOFORWORLD (Romania), Masaryk University (Czech Republic) and the Association Blue Firefly (Republic of North Macedonia).

What’s the app main objective? The promotion of a greater well-being and a daily life support for parents and families in which there are kids with ASD. There are many studies, guides and tools created to face the ASD, but what’s new is in the app is not just that it’s digital and available through a smartphone, but that it’s also user-friendly and that it can concretely meet its goals and the families’ needs through the ABA foundations.

It’s possible especially because of the games and the token economy tools included.

Besides the positive impact which the gamification aspect may have, also the token economy is a useful tool to help parents to face the ASD challenges. The token economy in the app can be easily implemented and managed through the board and the token counter, the list of skills and of used reinforcement, which can help to visualize the objective already reached and the next ones to work for.
