FUTURE ++

In Munich to plan the launch of education programme for coaches!

On 12 and 13 December 2022, TUM – Technische Universität München –  hosted the fifth Transnational Project Meeting of the Sport and Social Inclusion: Future for Children project. The Future ++ Consortium met in Munich (Germany) to organise the next steps of the project.

The partners involved were MUNICIPALIDAD DE LOUSADA (Portugal) – GEDI, La Mina, INEFEC (Spain), CEIPES (Italy), NEFINIA (Netherland) and TUM (Germany).

Future ++ project aims to promote, develop and share a European evidence-based coach education programme that could help coaches foster quality motivation and make sport not only engaging, empowering, and enjoyable but also a tool of added value for social inclusion.

Starting from the Future ++ model, developed during the Work Package 2 “Research Cycle”, the project partners are now working on the creation of different theoretical learning units based on the following topics: conceptual framework of an Inclusive sports organisation; practical strategies and guidelines; communication; group dynamics in youth athletes; social justice & critical pedagogy.

Furthermore, during the two days of meeting, CEIPES presented the work that the organisation, supported by other partners countries, is carrying out on the development of Future ++ E-learning Platform. In this important deliverable all the theoretical and practical training contents developed – including narrative texts, interactive videos, evaluation questionnaires – will be uploaded and avaiable for sports coaches.

Moreover, the Future ++ consortium is working on the creation of an European network of coaches for social inclusion. The coaches, sports centers and associations that will join the network will have free access to all the learning contents produced by the consortium during the life cycle of the project and they will also be able to develop new professional relationships with other European colleagues, increasing in this way their hard and soft skills.

Finally, the whole Consortium during its free time visited the TUM facilities, with its huge and amazing multifunction fields, Athletics track and the football stadium.

The project, which will end in December 2023, is heading to its last year of implementation, the partners will meet again in Palermo on 20-21 April 2023, in the CEIPES facilities, to plan the launch of the online learning platform and and the subsequent pilot test.
