On September 25th, CEIPES ETS was delighted to host the workshop “Soft Skills for Success,” designed for two high school senior classes about to enter the world of work for the first time. Organized as part of the European project SPORT4E, the event highlighted the strong link between sports, employability, and entrepreneurship. It showed how transferable skills learned through sports can be a powerful asset for career success.
After the project was presenter, the first speaker were Martina Santino, an HR expert, who focused on what companies are looking for, emphasizing soft skills like teamwork, leadership, and resilience, all honed through sports. Enrico Picone, a former athlete, coach, and entrepreneur, followed with his personal journey, sharing how sports skills helped him transition into the business world.
The final discussion was lively, with students, speakers, teachers, and moderators engaging in a deep conversation about balancing sports, academics, time management, and career readiness. It was clear that finding harmony between these areas is still a challenge, and projects like SPORT4E play a crucial role in offering guidance and structure for young people facing these choices.
