On the 11th July 2024, CEIPES ETS organised the final event of the project MY SWEET SMART HOME, with the aim of promoting the results obtained.
The event started with the explanation of the project, the presentation of the team that made possible its development and the results obtained, including the development of the e-learning platform in which users can find possible home automation solutions for their homes with information on how to install and use them, plus for which topic they may be useful.
On the other hand, the event counted with the participation of two experts of the University of Palermo (UNIPA). Samuele Morvillo made an intervention about the Design for All, opening a reflection on inclusive aspects vs exclusive aspects that can be found in our society. The Professor Benedetto Inzerillo presented the house-boat and the inclusive boat developed in the port of Palermo, emphasising the importance of involving end users (in this case disabled people) at all stages of product development, since only then it is possible to obtain a quality end product.
