We are in Palermo, Italy. CEIPES ETS hosts, in its facilities, some students and teachers of the Liceo “Ninni Cassarà” of Palermo to present the final results of the project “VoterS – Volunteers from schools“. The project, co-financed by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, has a precise objective, namely providing students the opportunity to develop their sense of active citizenship and learning how to take responsibility to contribute to society’s improvement by personal involvement.
During the event, “Student Diaries” on volunteering were presented by students from three schools (in Spain, Greece and Italy). In the virtual diaries, students not only tell about their own experiences with volunteering but also try to become role models for their peers across Europe. Through podcasts, interviews, testimonies, the schoolchildren finally become protagonists of society and do it through a fundamental tool such as that of volunteering.
The participants of the event showed great enthusiasm for the Diaries and for the experiences that have been returned by other peers and will certainly strive to become a beacon of hope for the society of the future.
The project is nearing completion, but its results and impact on young people continue to be important: visit the website and follow both the official project and CEIPES social networks to find out more!
