On the 28th of May 2024, CEIPES ETS organized a testing of the program developed by the Consortium of the PRIDE NETWORK LEAD project (project number: 2022-1-IT01-KA220-VET-000087825).
Four participants in the activity represented local authorities (municipality and regional government), a researcher at the University of Palermo took part in the testing phase together with two representatives of the RE.A.DY Network (a national network of regions and local government to prevent and overcome homolesbobitransphobia).
At the beginning, the project was presented, highlighting the results achieved. However, the core of the testing phase focused on evaluating all five modules of the Development Programme to deepen competencies in the field of leading the Pride networks and Authentic LGBTQ+ Leadership, how to start a Pride Network, how to engage members and allies and how to work with sponsors or top managers.
Following this, an introduction to the Handbook was provided, with a detailed exploration of the
section on the Action Plan for the Network, and then the participants tested the Toolbox for the Pride Network covering topics such as external support and how to be an ally.
During the activity, the participants shared their work and life experiences and at the end, there was also space for an open discussion on the materials presented and on possible sustainability actions.
The feedback was encouraging, and the discussion was productive.
