The AGISEC Project (project number:101132985) has started its course with the main objective of involving young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds, NEET (people not in education, employment or training) and people with disabilities in the European context. With a broad vision, AGISEC aims to promote the health benefits of sport, introduce new sporting disciplines, promote environmental awareness and improve understanding of European values and structures.
CEIPES from Italy, together with Aux Couleurs du Deba and USSAP from France, seek not only inclusion through sport, but also the creation of educational resources and networks that promote inclusive and environmentally friendly sport practices.
The first key step in this process was the Kick-off Meeting, where partners from the different countries met online to discuss and plan the first steps of the project. One of the highlights of this meeting was the preparation of the thematic workshops that will take place during the first six months of the project. These workshops will address crucial issues such as inclusion, discrimination, citizenship and the European Union. They will be spaces for learning and reflection, where participants will be able to share experiences and acquire knowledge that will contribute to the development of a more inclusive and cohesive society.
The next important milestone in the AGISEC calendar is the next meeting in France. At this stage, preparations will be made for the training (LTTA) for the participants, which will take place in Bourdeaux. This training will be an opportunity to deepen the topics covered in the previous workshops and to further explore inclusive sports. Coinciding with the 2024 Olympics, this event will not only be an opportunity to learn and grow, but also to celebrate diversity and inclusion through sport.
