Objectives

The project aims to:

  • Develop innovative learning initiatives that enhance green skills and awareness of environmental issues among low-skilled adults, while improving their transversal skills for better integration into the job market.
  • Foster active citizenship by encouraging adults to engage with environmental issues and promoting pro-environmental behaviour through increased awareness of biodiversity and the benefits of nature.
  • Improve inclusiveness and accessibility in adult education by providing opportunities for low-skilled individuals to reconnect with nature and enhance their well-being, strengthening their environmental protection and conservation skills.
  • Expand the network of adult education providers across Europe to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among organisations focused on adult education.
Activities

The project will engage in the following activities:

  • Developing a learning pathway consisting of e-learning modules that address key global and local environmental challenges, while also training participants on the green sector’s current labour market needs.
  • Organising practical outdoor workshops that allow participants to apply their knowledge, develop green and transversal skills, and reconnect with nature, promoting mind-body peace in nature.
  • Drafting a set of recommendations for local authorities, based on the collaboration between low-skilled adults, educators, and environmental experts, to address both environmental and social challenges.
Results

The project will yield the following results:

  • Increased participation of low-skilled adults in educational activities, improving their understanding of environmental issues and access to adult education.
  • Expanded a network of adult education organisations across Europe, fostering collaboration and sharing of knowledge.
  • Developed policy recommendations for local authorities, addressing the educational and employment needs of low-skilled adults while promoting civic engagement on environmental and social issues.
