E-MENTORSHIP – The Training in Amsterdam

The representatives of the consortium of E-Mentorship for (E)quality in Early Childhood Education [Project Number 2022-1-NO01-KA220-VET-000088213] convened in Amsterdam, on October 3rd and 4th, 2024.

This gathering provided an excellent opportunity to share recent project developments from Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Poland. As this was a training activity, the hosting partner, ILA, delivered an in-depth presentation of the E-Mentorship Portal Training. During the session, partners were trained on the e-Mentorship portal, covering essential topics such as the portal’s structure, roles and responsibilities of users, system functionality, and its integration with the learning platform. This e-learning platform is designed specifically for preschool teachers and aims to connect novice teachers with experienced mentors who can support them throughout the program.

In addition, the training addressed the portal’s system architecture and business logic, detailing the roles of the participants, their responsibilities, and the general use of the system’s user interface. Participants also learned about the portal’s functionality, its screens and design, the use of the admin panel to monitor activities, and how the mentorship platform integrates with the broader learning portal. The current status of the portal’s development was discussed, along with the next steps for further improvements. Online webinars and trainer allocation were also covered to ensure a smooth implementation of the program.

In addition to the intensive training, cultural and social breaks provided participants with valuable opportunities to network and exchange insights on the project’s progress. Organized activities included cultural experiences and a group lunch, allowing for informal discussions and collaboration among partners. Representatives from various partner organizations participated, including two Italian teachers who traveled to Amsterdam with the project manager from CEIPES.
