KTM – Launches Learning Materials Section

The kidsTUMove Project has reached a milestone with the introduction of its Learning Materials section. This online hub is designed to support individuals involved in sports activities, for children with Chronic Diseases (CD). The section offers guidance and assistance catering to audiences.

The Learning Materials include explanations and overviews of heart disease and post traumatic stress disorder emphasizing the importance of physical activity for affected children. The content also highlights research that establishes the role of exercise in managing CD. Current guidelines and best practices ensure safety. The Learning Materials section marks a significant milestone in the kidsTUMove project, advancing its mission to enhance the lives of children with CD and PTSD through sports and exercise.

This project is an effort of the ‘KidsTUMove goes Europe – fit’ (KTM) partnership, which focuses on developing a sustainable prevention concept for children with chronic illnesses. By ensuring access to sports and exercise programmes specifically designed for children with CD and PTSD, this initiative aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Promoting sports participation among vulnerable groups such as children with CD and PTSD brings immense benefits to the European healthcare system.
