Call for patners and Introduction to the Network Agreement of EUROPEAN SCHOOL PROJECT.

In the field of the collaboration between educational institution, for an Horizon 2020 call whose title is  “ICT 2014 – Information and Communications Technologies”, we are building the NETWORK for the following project: Topic: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support, ICT business idea contests in Universities and High schools.

Specific Challenge: The challenge is to improve the framework conditions of the European ICT innovation ecosystem so that it offers the best conditions for innovators to capture the full potential of innovation to transform ideas to the market for sustaining growth and jobs.

Scope:

  • ICT business idea contests in Universities and High schools
  • Organise and promote ICT business idea contests addressed to University and high-school students. ICT business ideas contests should be organised at national and subsequently European level. A participation of at least 10 Member States or Associated Countries in the first year (up to all Member States and Associated Countries) should be sought. The first selection takes place at Campus level and will continue gradually up to the European level with a final event Support will go to a well-focused consortium which members should have demonstrated capacity in mobilising students and having experience with similar large scale events.

Expected impact:

  • For all activities focus should be on actions with real impact rather than theoretical models and studies. Reuse and pooling of resources, including existing (web) platforms are highly desired. Equal access of women and men to all the activities should also be fostered.
  • Increased awareness and perception of ICT entrepreneurship among young people in Europe; Development of entrepreneurship skills and exploitation of e-skills.

Abstract:

The idea is to organise, promote and implement an “ICT, Business and Green Growth” contest in Universities and High schools.

The project will be organised according to the following phases: 1. design the contest, 2. Increase awareness and perception of students concerning ICT, business and Green growth (including the development of an e-learning/social platforms) 3. disseminate, promote and implement the contest 4. evaluation process, selection and award of prizes, 5. As part of the award, build a business model for putting the winning award idea/s into market place.

The ICT topics are the following: mobile applications, gamification, social platforms, wearable technologies, data analysis, internet of things (IoT),

The Green growth promotion will be based on the “Green Action  –  Green Reward” model.

  • Corporation Blue, Green Growth and Technology (environment, climate and sustainability)
  • Two University Networks link with EU Universities, design of the contest, event implementation and education

We are looking for the partners:

European School network  School Network, link with EU schools/institutions, contributing to design of the contest, event implementation, promotion, dissemination and education.

Countries to be involved in the first year (10 at least):

  • EU: Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, UK, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, …
  • Associated: Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey, Albania, etc…

The Network, made up  with different EU Member States or Associated countries, will have the aim of developing and support all the activities planned in the project, for Universities and educational institutions from the member states part of the network.

In particular every institution, named school board or Local Authority in the field of education, or universities is committing to support and represent about 100 other educational institutions, may they be high schools or universities where the project described in the following lines will be implemented.
