WATER IS LIFE (SPAIN) – The partners met for the first time

On 08 – 10 September 2022, the Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) of the European Commission funded project “Water is life” (2021-1-ES01-KA220-SCH-000032434) was hosted in Amsterdam by Global Education Center. The meeting was a great moment of sharing where all the partners had the opportunity to understand the initial steps to take to implement the activities of the project.

The partner of the project who attended the meeting were: CEIPES (Italy), Institut Ítaca (Spain), Unye Prof. Dr. Necmettin Polvan Ortaokulu (Turkey), Szkola Podstawowa im. 16 Pulku Ulanów Wielkopolskich w Grupie (Poland), Tallinna Kesklinna Vene Gümnaasium (Estonia), 3rd Primary School of Pylaia (Greece), Global Education Center B.V. (Netherlands)

The Water is life project rises from the aim to find solutions and raise awareness for topics such as climate change, global warming, increase of water waste, pollution of water resources, and to create a transnational cooperation network of teachers and students.

Some of the activities who have been discussed were: the establishment of a “Water Savers Club” with students, the support the development of innovative learning/teaching methods and the use of STEM, games, and technology to raise awareness on the topic.

The KOM began with a brief introduction of the partnership organizations, going ahead with a general introduction of the project and the related organizational work plans. The development of Intellectual Outputs is the guideline to achieve the specific goals of the project.During the next months, the partners will meet for a discussion, to get into the heart of the project and begin to structure the following activities.
