Hungary 2024. The country of goulash and paprika hosts CEIPES and the rest of the consortium for the international training of the ‘V.E.G.A. – Visualising European Goals through Arts’ project, co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. 15 young people and youth workers were together in the beautiful setting of the city of Budapest for a training on European Youth Goals, part of the European Youth Strategy 2019-2027. The initiative aims to connect young people from all over Europe and to pursue 11 specific goals designed specifically for them: the V.E.G.A. project focuses on five of these goals (#2 – Equality for all genders; #6 – Moving rural youth forward; #8 Quality Learning; #9 Space and Participation for all; #10 Sustainable green Europe) and aims to bring young people into contact with these initiatives, which are crucial for their future.
Hosted by the Hungarian project partner, Youth Bridges Budapest, CEIPES and the rest of the consortium had an unforgettable experience during the three-day training: workshops and activities were designed by young people for young people, in order to bring them as close as possible to European policies.
In addition to preparing the young people for the future, the training is also intended to serve as a forerunner for the on-site workshops to be held between November and December 2024 in the consortium countries (Italy, Spain, Hungary, Germany and Portugal), during which the young people who received the training will become role models for their peers.
What will be the next steps of the project? Well, there is only one way to find out: follow the project’s official social media channels on Facebook and Instagram!
