The consortium behind The HeArts of Youth project is currently testing the handbook on art and dance therapy with youth workers. This initiative aligns with the project’s goal of enhancing the skills of youth workers supporting at-risk groups, particularly young migrants, by introducing techniques inspired by dance and arts therapy.
In Italy, the first session of this phase took place at the CEIPES office from October 16th to 18th, 2024. The comfortable and well-equipped setting of CEIPES contributed to creating a safe and conducive environment for effective training. During the session, facilitators shared guidelines and best practices for future training, and in-depth discussions were held with participants to gather feedback.
This testing phase includes youth workers from various backgrounds, such as educators, social workers, and volunteers dedicated to social inclusion, both in Italy and partner countries. At the end of the session, participants received a draft version of the handbook, which will be finalized based on the feedback collected during this testing period.
The handbook is a comprehensive compilation of new workshops and techniques in art and dance therapy, designed to support the well-being of young migrants. It provides clear instructions and illustrations for facilitators to use in their work.
