From January 10th to 14th 2019 the 3rd Transnational Meeting of the DEM-Rail-PSS “Development of Education Modules for Railway Passenger Service Systems” project took place in Ankara, Turkey.

The project funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ programme (KA2, strategic partnership for innovation and exchange of good practices in field of VET) aims to improve rail services between the EU and Turkey, through the creation of an ad-hoc training modules according to the European standards, developed by all partners and addressed to those who want to work within the rail passenger service system.

DEM-Rail-PSS involves 6 partners from different countries: the University of Anadolu Eskisehir (Turkey), the public railway company TCDD TASIMACILIK AS GENEL MUDURLUGU (Turkey), Training and Project Engineering Services Industry and Trade (Turkey), the EURO-CERT Academy (Germany), the UK-Certified Knowledge Association and CEIPES (Italy).

The meeting just ended was very characteristic. It took place on the Doğu ekspresi, a train that travels from Ankara to Kars on one of the oldest railways in Turkey.

In this meeting, the partners worked on the modules structure that will compose the course for the selected target.

In addition, thanks to this fantastic experience on the eastern express train, the partners have been able to evaluate the quality and the excellence both the Turkish railways and the passenger services system.

The next meeting will be in Palermo and CEIPES will host the partners from 16 to 17 May 2019.
