START UP ACADEMY – The project has finished

The Start Up EU Academy project (2019-1-CZ01-KA205-061080), which has started on the 1st of June 2019 and which, on the 31st of May 2022, has come to its end.

The consortium implementing the project was composed by organisations, both public and NGOs, operating in five different contexts: KURO Hradec Kralove z. s., (Czech Republic), Manisa Valiligi (Turkey), CEIPES – Centro Internazionale per la Promozione dell’Educazione e lo Sviluppo (Italy), iED – Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (Greece) and DRUSTVO ZA RAZVIJANJE PROSTOVOLJNEGA DELA NOVO MESTO (Slovenia) have constantly cooperated to make the project objectives real and support European youngsters to achieve the necessary knowledge and capabilities to start their own innovative business, fostering their creative ideas and trying to mitigate the scarce participation of youth to entrepreneurial activities among Europe and – specifically – among the national contexts involved into the project activities.

In order to empower youth and to support their entrepreneurial potential, the consortium has developed innovative methodologies and knowledge on how to start and improve an e-commerce, which are the opportunities related to the social entrepreneurial framework and on the concepts of mentorship and innovation, which are essential to improve the quality of goods and services sold on the markets and to enhance the possibility of businesses to stay competitive. Partners of the Start Up EU Academy project have worked on four different intellectual outputs, delivering them to the target groups of the project to give them innovative and appealing tools to gain knowledge and skills:

  • I-O1, Country report, whose aim is tracing the current status of entrepreneurship, youth propension to start a business and start ups environment on the local contexts covered by the project activities (Czech Republic, Greece, Slovenia, Turkey and Italy);
  • I-O2, Web portal, through which all the products delivered by project implementation become available to a wide audience; the web portal also serves as a forum, since it has also been endowed with a section dedicated to digital start ups operating in the most up-to-date and high tech sectors;
  • I-O3, E-Guide, which is a document containing information and researches, as well as practical instruments, to foster youngsters to gain knowledge and abilities in the three main fields addressed by the project – namely e-commerce, social entrepreneurship and innovation – offering them a complete learning pathway;
  • I-O4, E-learning platform, offering to all the interested ones the opportunity to learn in a digital and media-based environment on the topics addressed by the project.

Thanks to the coordination and expertise of the organisations working on the Start Up EU Academy project, all the outputs have been conceived to deliver state-of-art contents in an innovative way, addressing the needs of the target groups and contributing to their empowerment and to their participation to the entrepreneurial activities among Europe. Furthermore, face-to-face trainings on e-commerce, social entrepreneurship and innovation have made possible for participants from the local contexts involved into project activities the opportunity to be involved into high-quality training sessions focused on both theoretical and practical activities.
