START UP EU ACADEMY is a project co-funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus+ programme, Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, strategic partnerships for youth. The project is coordinated by the Czech organization KURO Hradec Kralove z.s and involves 4 other Partner Countries CEIPES, Italy; Institute of entrepreneurship development, Greece; Manisa Governoship, Turkey; DRUSTVO ZA RAZVIJANJE PROSTOVOLJNEGA DELA NOVO MESTO, Slovenia.

The project aims to promote entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship activities among young people, giving them the opportunity to take part to training courses about entrepreneurship, innovation and online commerce at EU level contributing to the development of e-commerce in Europe.

During a forced pause due to COVID19, in the lockdown period the partners carried out the project activities.
One of the first results of the project will be the drafting of a Country Report. This document will contain key information regarding the world of start-ups country by country in order to contribute to the dissemination of as much information as possible.

In addition, in order to be able to make contact with local start-ups and receive interesting information directly from them about their experience, the partnership will conduct interviews with youth start-ups born in the area.

CEIPES has already started conducting its interviews and RESOURSEAS S.R.L. is one of the start-ups contacted. innovative Palermo startup that promotes an integrated cycle that uses sea water to produce deionized water, salt, valuable raw materials and energy that contributes to ecological development on a global level.

We interviewed Maurizio Bevaqua, co-founder of Resourseas, some have allowed us to fully understand the importance of their start up in the area and what complexities and facilitations there are in Italy and Sicily in carrying out a Start up.
