From the 6th to the 10th of February 2023, CEIPES took part in the Open Staff Week 2023Project Management: Tips and tools for a successful project from start to finish” organized by the Polytechnic of Leiria

The training aimed to coach on honing essential project coordination skills and share with participants tips on how to master them.

On the first day, the attendees had the chance to know each other and have an overview of the activities that are conducted by the Polytechnic. Moreover, they participated in a session related to the importance of the Team in Project Management to strengthening communication skills and the role of the leader.

The second day was dedicated to International Marketing and Entrepreneurship, so the participants better understood the global market and gained some tips for the market growth of specific goods/services.

Furthermore, the third workshop was on the core components of a project from the identification of funds opportunities to the reporting phases. In addition, group work was organized for the development of new project proposals that were then presented in a plenary session.

A major part of the training was the visit to Startup Leiria, a non-profit association established in 2004 by the Polytechnic of Leiria, the Business Association of the Leiria Region (NERLEI), and the Leiria City Council. They work for the promotion and support of companies and entrepreneurs in the creation of value and growth. Indeed, the participants had the opportunity to talk with some of the entrepreneurs that have been supported by the Startup incubator for the development of their innovative businesses.

On the 9th of February, the last workshop was conducted by two representatives of the company Pomegrante specialized in consultancy and training in project management. They dealt with communication, both internal and external, as a key factor within every project.

Additionally, all attendees were divided into teams to participate in a painting activity with the aim to learn by doing the importance of communication.

The last day was dedicated to networking activities and individual conversations to set up further collaborations.

In conclusion, CEIPES staff had the opportunity to gain important abilities and acquired some specific knowledge that will be very useful for the whole organization, so it is extremely glad to the Polytechnic of Leiria for the organization of the Staff Week and for conducting very valuable sessions.
