From 17 to 23 June, in Lisbon, It took place the second transnational meeting of the “ Sport Identity, enhancing citizenship education through sportproject.

During the meeting, hosted by the Portuguese partner CAI, the partners discussed about “Benchmark of good practices on the prevention of violent radicalization among youth and sport citizenship” as an analysis and starting point for the realization of the methodological guide on “ sports citizenship ”- for sports and youth organizations – and the final toolkit, as a supporting tool for youth workers and educators, who works in the field of radicalization prevention.

The first part of the meeting was about a comparison between the different partners on the current situation, in their respective contexts, on the radicalization between young people and the methods used to deal this problem through sport.

In addition to the project managers involved in the project, the meeting was also attended by young people – which support the respective rules in the implementation of local activities, through the testimonies of their daily work

The meeting represented also an opportunity to sharing some tools to prevent radicalization gave rise to some unplanned education sessions by the CAI and CEIPES, which shared previous experience with projects with other partners.

Next meeting, is fixed from 26 to 27 September in Varese!
