smARt (2022-1-LT01-KA220-SCH-000087659), “augmented reality technology adaptation in schools”, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, started in Lithuania, at Kaunas.

With the smARt project, the consortium aims to increase interest in STEM subjects by using AR in schools. The meeting has been hosted on 15th and 16th of February by BETI – Viesoji Istaiga Baltijos Edukaciniu Technologiju Institutas (Lithuania), which coordinates the project.

Gathering partners from multiple EU areas, the consortium is also composed of: CEIPES – Centro Internazionale per la Promozione dell’educazione E lo Sviluppo (Italy); EVA93 – Macibu centrs “EVA-93” (Latvia); CPIP – Centrul Pentru Promovarea Invatarii Permanente Timisoara Asociatia (Romania); COMU – Canakkale Onsekiz Mart Universitesi (Turkey); I&F – I and F Education and Development Limited (Ireland).

During the meeting, partners discussed about the initial phase of the project implementation, about tasks and responsibilities. Together, partners were having brainstorming activities about eventual risks during the project lifespan, they were establishing deadlines and defining next steps.

Face to face confrontation about the research phase on STEM (subjects, topics, learning difficulties, most needed job, etc.) laid to agreements on templates structure, for further implementation at national level. The research phase will be crucial for context understanding and for providing effective and efficient results subsequently, especially from a pedagogical perspective.

The meeting opportunity allowed all organisation to know each other and CEIPES has been honoured to meet all partners from the consortium and to strengthen the network on addressing digital transformation in schools.
