The second face-to-face meeting of the project “Positive Parenting (P+): an autism parent training to address children problem behaviour and teach them socially important skills” took place in Palermo, Italy.

The consortium met on 24 November 2021 in Palermo to review the project activities, as well as to evaluate the steps to be taken in the following months, also with the aim to catch up with some meetings and activities slowed down due to the pandemic.

The IO1 of the project – which consists in the creation of the P+ Curriculum, i.e., useful contents for Teachers/Trainers/Researchers/Youth workers, who will take part in the project trainings that will be held in 2022 – has been completed.

By the end of January, the P+ Curriculum will be translated and uploaded in all the languages of the partner countries on the project website.

The partners also outlined the first steps to develop the IO2 – Positive Parenting (P+) Trainers Manual. This manual is aimed to assist trainers’ practical application of the newly developed Curriculum (IO1) and put theory into practice. The manual will lead trainers through a step-by-step process of planning, organizing and delivering an effective training course.

Finally, all the partners discussed the dissemination activities implemented since the beginning of the project and presented some local activities carried out with schools and associations working in the field of disability. The next steps of the project include a lot of activities and interesting training and growth opportunities, on which the partnership is working hard.
