On 18 and 19 February 2020, CEIPES took part in the 9th Transnational Meeting of the DISEMEX – Disability Employment Expert project, held in Maribor (Slovenia).
The aim of the meeting was to observe and learn about the best practices of the Slovenian city in the field of inclusion of people with disabilities in the world of work. Among the various realities encountered, the first was: PUPPILAM, Society for potential development – social enterprise and AVANTUS, employment center.
What do they do? Job placement and training projects.
Assistance for people with disabilities who want to change and change their life with different types of support (psychological, economic, health, training, etc)
On the second day, the consortium went to the OZARA d.o.o. and OZARA Zaposlitveni center d.o.o. that in addition to being the NGO partner in the project, it has established itself as a supply company of different materials that has employed people with disabilities in its production. OZARA also provides support and training tools for its employees and for people with disabilities who attend the association.
In addition, the consortium took the opportunity to take stock of the project and review the managerial aspects and the approaching deadlines.
The project will end in February. The good practices collected during these months will be disseminated shortly through a collection that will include them all but above all thanks to videos explaining two good practices for each partner.
