In Zagreb for the International seminar “Embrace Inclusion and Diversity in your Erasmus+ projects!”

From 15 to 18 November 2022 CEIPES took part in the international seminar “Embrace Inclusion & Diversity in your Erasmus+ projects “. The event was held in Zagreb, hosted by Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (Erasmus+ National Agency in Croatia). The seminar was organised as part of the Long-term activity (LTA), within Training and Cooperation Activities (TCAs), part of the Erasmus+ programme.

The Long-term activity Embrace Inclusion & Diversity in your Erasmus+ projects is being implemented with big support of partner Erasmus+ national agencies from Austria, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Malta and Romania, from 2022 to 2027. The overall aim of the seminar and the whole LTA is to increase the capacities of Erasmus+ beneficiaries in the topic of Inclusion and Diversity. The seminar is targeting project coordinators and team members, implementing mobility and partnership projects, in the fields of school education, vocational E&T, higher and adult education.

During the three days of training, the participants were involved in various activities all based on the topic of Inclusion and Diversity in the Erasmus + projects.

They have attended interesting interventions by experts, have actively worked in small groups to identify the principles that make the projects truly inclusive, have carried out practical activities such as the power walk and have listened to testimonials of best practices from the different countries involved.

Finally, the seminar concluded with study visits to some Erasmus+ beneficiaries, examples of good practice. Specifically, the visit to the Slava Raškaj Educational Center allowed the participants to get to know a Croatian excellence with experience in rehabilitation and education of students with hearing and speech disabilities and children with communication difficulties.

Thanks to this very interesting opportunity, the participants in the seminar gained theoretical and practical knowledge on how to raise the awareness of the Inclusion and Diversity priority. They will thus be able to increase the inclusive aspect of their project activities and results as well as identify and include more participants with fewer opportunities in their projects.
