From October 31th to November 1st CEIPES and Immigrant Friendly Cities project’s partners met in Lund (Sweden) for the presentation of the Beta version of the App!

“Immigrant Friendly Cities” is a project funded by the Erasmus+ Program – Strategic Partnership – Innovation cooperation and exchange of good practices involving six different european partners, CEIPES (Italy), WISAMAR (Germany), SOSYAL ETKI (Turkey), PRO-IFALL (Sweden), AKETH (Greece), FONIX AS (Norway).

The aim of the project is to create a website and a mobile APP with permanent information about housing, health, education, work, taxation, free time, legal and social assistance services present on the European territory, the purpose is to help migrants integrate into the social context, knowing their rights and duties, promoting their integration through an awareness-raising on the refugee crisis in Europe.

Given the lack of information on arrival in a new country, the main purpose of the “Immigrant Friendly Cities” project, funded by the European Commission, is to create an APP for mobile phones with information on legal, health and psychological assistance, but also language courses, work / school placement, and finally socio-cultural activities in the area.

Within each section, content related to the rights and duties of migrants and refugees, costs, geo-location of services, reference websites and various links will be available.

If you are interested in joining, keeping the relevant information and the related services offered up to date on the APP, send an e-mail to luisa.zappala@ceipes.org

Your contribution will be valuable for the effective integration of migrants and refugees in the local social fabric!
