The kick off meeting of the G.A.M.E project “Gamification for More Effective Teaching” was held in Ostrava, Czech Republic from 30 to 31 January. The project involves 8 European partners, 4 schools and 4 non-profit organizations, respectively 2 partners for each European country involved: Czech Republic, Garrigue z.s. and Střední zdravotnická škola in Vyšší odborná škola zdravotnická, Plzeň; Italy, CEIPES and the Liceo Statale G. Lombardo Radice; Spain, CPR Gijón and IES Ribera del Tajo; Turkey Paydas Egitim Kultur ve sanat Dernegi and Hasan Fatma Onal Anadolu Lisesi.

The project aims to support educators and teachers by improving their skills in different fields of learning and education by integrating the use of the gamification process into the training experience. This will help them strengthen their professional development and make the programs more attractive and interesting. The project in its life cycle will consist of various activities such as the creation of examples of teaching materials on Gamification; various trainings that will involve teachers, educators and students through the possibility of international mobility.

In addition, as an ultimate goal the project involves the implementation of what has been learned about the gamification process in the learning environment.

During the meeting the Spanish partner CPR Gijón gave an explanation about the basics of gamification and deepening the difference between the various types of learning based on the game and instead on what the gamification process actually is. During the meeting, the strategy for implementing the project was also defined.

A special certificate was delivered to the author of the project logo. Its logo distinguished itself in the logo competition held between the schools of the various partners.

The next appointment will be held in Kusadasi, Turkey between 16 and 20 March where the first Training will be held, which will involve teachers and educators
