Future ++ – The partners meet in Lousada

On 5 and 6 July, CEIPES and all the partners of the  Sport and Social Inclusion: Future for Children project met in Lousada (Portugal) to talk about the progress in the implementation of activities and to define next steps of the project.

The partners involved were MUNICIPALIDAD DE LOUSADA (Portugal) – who hosted the transnational project meeting, GEDI and INEFEC (Spain), CEIPES (Italy) and TUM (Germany).

The main objective of Future ++ project is to create a European-based coach education program for youth sport providing a realistic strategy for social inclusion of disadvantaged target groups through physical activity.

After 18 months from the start of the project the consortium has completed the WP2 “Research Cycle“, led by TUM. The main deliverables and final findings of this work package are indeed ready to be uploaded on the website and on the e-learning platform of the project.

Furthermore, during the two days of meeting, INEFEC introduced the work that the university, supported by other partners countries, is carrying out on the development of WP3 “A European-based Coach Program”. Specifically, CEIPES is in charge for the creation of an online learning center, one of the main deliverables of this WP, where all the theoretical and practical training contents for the coaches will be uploaded. Moreover, the Future ++ consortium is managing the establishment of an international network of coaches from different sports. The coaches and sports centers reached will indeed be able to test the contents produced by the consortium during the life cycle of the project.

Finally, the partners visited the Lousada sport complex, with its huge and amazing hockey field, multifunction fields, tennis complex and the municipal football stadium.
