ETN4VET – The second Steering Board of the project has been held

On Monday 21st February 2022 the consortium of the ETN4VET – European e-Transport Network for VET project , co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, project number (2021-1-NL01-KA220-VET-000025512), met online to discuss further implementation and steps.

The consortium of ETN4VET counts fourteen partners coming from all over Central, Northern and Southern Europe; specifically, Stichting Regionaal Opleidingen Centrum Aventus (Netherlands), CELF – Center for Erhvervsrettede uddannelser Lolland-Falster (Denmark), Kuressaare Ametikool (Estonia), Hyria koulutus Oy (Finland), Salpaus Further Education Regional Consortium (Finand), Chambre des Métiers et de l’Artisanat des Pays de la Loire (France), BBS Syke EUROPASCHULE (Germany), Handwerkskammer für Ostthüringen (Germany), CEIPES – Centro Internazionale per la Promozione dell’Educazione e lo Sviluppo (Italy), ROC Noorderpoort (Netherlands), Byasen videregaende skole (Norway), ATEC – Associacao de Formacao para a Industria (Portugal), Escoles Professionals Salesianes, Institut Politècnic (Spain) and Amledo & Co AB (Sweden) are part of the project.

ETN4VET addresses Green Deal purposes and has been shaped accordingly to the respect and improvement of sustainability in the field of transports; in fact, the project aims to stimulate and arrange a network of VET schools’ staff – including both students and teachers – to bridge them with enterprises operating in e-Transport. The main objective of the project is helping VET institutions share their knowledge and best practice in e-transport, helping them strengthening their curricula in order to make vocational education and training responsive to the challenges of the Green Deal and electric transport.

Since the project addresses the concept of environmental sustainability, part of the Steering Board and of the Study and Networking Events are going to be held online not to incur into a high carbon footprint. After the Kick-Off Meeting, which has been held in Palermo, Italy, on the beginning of December, partners met online during the second Steering Board to discuss about further implementation of the project. The main topics of the agenda were the measurement of the impact of the project – which is fundamental to reach the project objectives – and the organization of the first physical Study and Networking Event, which is going to be held in Portugal, hosted by ATEC– Associacao de Formacao para a Industria, and which is going to gather about 28 VET teachers coming from all over Europe. During the meeting, partners also voted for the logo which will represent the project and is going to give a kick-off to the dissemination activities. Students from Kuressaare Ametikool (Estonia) designed eight logo proposals and partners have chosen their favorite one.

Next project appointment will be on middle May, when VET teachers from the countries participating to the consortium will meet in Portugal to learn more on e-transport and share their experiences and best practices, starting a dedicated network.
