On 24 February 2023, ELISA partners met for the third time in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted by the INSTITOYTO KOINONIKIS KAINOTOMIAS KAI SYNOXIS (Social Innovation and Cohesion Institute) – the project coordinator – to talk about the progress of the project.
ELISA project aims to enable athletes to develop and implement new skills through the use of the innovative tool of the Serious Game. Through this tool is possible to train and inspire young athletes to engage in entrepreneurial activities during and at the end of their sports career.
The partners had the opportunity to discuss on the current status of the project, to share feedback, assign new tasks and to establish the next steps of project implementation.
CEIPES participation has been accompanied by two experienced rowing coach of the Club Lauria in Palermo, their involvment was really precious to give feedback on the development and publication of “Methodology Guide of Career Development and Psychometric Methods Methodologies/Guidelines – Evaluation method and tool”.
The participation and opinion of sport expert was very important for the Guide Methodology and the project, they were able to test the Guide and share reflections about the importance of the concept of dual careers and entrepreneurial skills of athletes, and how important the coach’s role is in their career development process.
The ELISA partners are ready to start working on the next activity: The Sport Serious Play, the Innovative E – Game for viable business models addressing challenges based on athletes dual career. The aim of the Game is to encourage the Athletes to be business-minded and authors of their career choices and paths.
The meeting in Thessaloniki, have been very productive and the partners had the opportunity to verify that the work is proceeding successfully.
