The ECO-BOOST team recently conducted a comprehensive survey to identify the skills and knowledge that both employed and unemployed individuals should acquire to enhance their job prospects in today’s competitive labor market. Participants from five countries—Bulgaria, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Austria—shared their perspectives on how climate and environmental protection is integrated into daily life and professional sectors.
The survey focused on identifying the green skills necessary for those aiming to pursue careers in industries such as Construction, Furniture & Textile, Healthcare, and Electricity. More than 300 participants contributed to the study, including those attending roundtable events, with valuable input from sector representatives.
Key findings revealed the importance of both everyday environmental awareness and sector-specific green skills, crucial for building a sustainable future. This information will be vital for shaping training programs that prepare learners for green careers in these growing sectors.
