DIGI Helicon

Digital and entrepreneurial skills for aspiring artists!


On 8th of November 2022 took place, in Athens, hosted by Symplexis partner the first project meeting “DIGI Helicon – Empowering current and aspiring artists through the development of digital skills and competences” project (project number: 2022-1-DE02-KA220-ADU-000086615). This new project is part of the program Erasmus+.

The main objective of DIGI Helicon’s project is:

  • to empower current/aspiring artists (with a focus on those from vulnerable groups and women), through the development of digital skills.

To achieve this, sets of general and specific objectives have been formulated, based on the Logical Framework Approach:

  • Develop innovative materials for artists and adult educators
  • Provide flexible, upskilling opportunities
  • Promote artists’ entrepreneurship and employability
  • Foster Intercultural dialogue and social inclusion

The consortium is composed of 8 European partners from 6 different countries (Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Germany, Netherlands and France) and it is led by Litus novum – Recruiting & Training GmbH, a social enterprise which has been supporting refugees and other migrants with social and labour market integration measures since 2018. With individual coaching sessions, workshops and group discussions as well as job-placements the organization contributes to the integration of migrants to the society.

During the meeting, the partners had the chance to meet each other for the first time, talking about important topics such as the project activities, the budget invested in them, and the project expected results.

The DIGI-Helicon consortium is currently working on the development of a Map artists’ skills gaps and audience preferences and future trends regarding the digitalization of artistic expression in the aftermath of COVID-19. It will lead to two core project products, the “Artists Go Digital: Apsire to Inspire” Handbook as well as the tailored Capacity Building Methodology.

The Partners are also working on the visual identity of the project and on the creation of the social media channels.
