CEIPES at the EAEA Awards – Excellence in Adult Education for transformative learning

On 30 and 31 May, CEIPES attended as an associated member of the General Assembly and the Annual Conference of the European Association for the Education of Adults – EAEA.

During the Ceremony at the Mechelen City Hall, CEIPES was honored with the Grundtvig Award for Excellence in Adult Education, in the category of transnational projects, for Brave New Word Project. Brave New Word is an Erasmus+ KA2 project, realized by 4 partners from Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, and Italy. It aims to create innovative learning pathways that increase the quality of the work of educators and staff members dealing with students with Special Learning Disorders (SpLD) using 3D Printing and Augmentative Reality.

CEIPES strongly believes in the value of innovation within education and learning pathways, not only addressed to traditional teaching but also people with specific learning disorders. For CEIPES receiving this award meant an opportunity to bring visibility to the quality products of the BRAVE NEW WORDS project and at the same time the recognition of an innovative method that can improve people’s lives through a transformative learning approach. Indeed, thanks to it, values such as openness and social inclusion are spread all over Europe, empowering adult learners and educators.
